Frequently asked questions
Why isn't 1080p available for some videos?
Twitter only keeps the resolutions it received. If a video was uploaded in 720p, that's the highest quality anyone can download.
Which quality should I choose?
Pick the top option for editing or large screens, and a smaller one to save space or share in messaging apps.
Is ClipDrift free?
Yes. ClipDrift is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no download limits beyond basic abuse protection.
Can I download from private or protected accounts?
No. ClipDrift can only access posts that are publicly visible. Private, deleted and age-restricted posts can't be downloaded.
Is it legal to download X videos?
Downloading for personal use is generally fine, but reposting someone else's content may infringe their copyright. Only download content you own or have permission to use.
