DMCA & Copyright

How to report copyright infringement and request removal under the DMCA.

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Our policy

ClipDrift respects the rights of creators. We don't host any media — files are streamed from X — but we will block specific posts from being processed by ClipDrift when we receive a valid notice.

What to include

A valid notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) must include:

  • identification of the copyrighted work;
  • the link(s) to the X post(s) you want blocked;
  • your contact information;
  • a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

Removing content from X itself

Blocking a post on ClipDrift doesn't remove it from X. To have the original removed, also file a report with X through its copyright form.

Counter-notices

If you believe content was blocked by mistake, contact us with a counter-notice containing the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3).
